spotlight on sarah: 5 foods I eat every day for glowing skin.

As a busy mum, running a business and looking after my two-year old son, my schedule is full. It's important for me to nourish myself daily with the right food. Scroll down to learn the foods I eat daily for glowing skin.

1) Sauerkraut.

Sauerkraut is an excellent probiotic, and also takes delicious. I have been having sauerkraut at each meal and as a result my immunity has gotten stronger, and I have been having less break-outs.

2) Coconut oil.

I have been eating coconut oil as a replacement for butter, going on ten years now. I believe my skin texture on my body is smoother overall, because of the coconut oil. I love eating it, but also use it from time to time as make-up remover and moisturiser. 

3) Spirulina.

Whilst not technically a food, it does come in powder to be added to foods. It's high in protein and B vitamin. Since I am a vegetarian, it makes it a perfect source of protein. I have it daily in my green smoothies. 

4) Chocolate.

I eat chocolate every single day, whether it be chocolate cake, or pure chocolate. It makes me feel good, and obviously it has antioxidants, but I love the fact that it makes me feel so good and a happy me is a beautiful me! 

5) Herbal tea.

I just love herbal tea. I use to drink a warm glass of water with a squeeze of lemon first thing in the morning, but I have since found that I prefer a detoxing blend of herbs which kick start my metabolism and is totally delicious. I drink around 3 cups each morning.
